Nation Night Out Block Party

Aug 2009
Nation Night Out Block Party
5:30 pm-9:00 pm

What is National Night Out? It's America's night out against crime - a unique crime/drug prevention event held simultaneously in over 14,000 communities. Beacon will highlight activities to keep kids active and away from gangs, drugs, and crime.

On August 4, 2009 Beacon Youth Services invites children and their families to Memorial Park from 5:30pm until dusk for a huge block party. Free food, free entertainment, free games, free raffles and free prizes. Fun for all ages: a home run derby, a soccer shoot out, horse shoes, bocci.

Beacon Youth Services is a collaboration of Beacon youth agencies. The founding organizations are Beacon Community Center, City of Beacon Recreation Department, Martin Luther King Cultural Center, and Kid’s Place A Place For Kids To Be II.

This year BYS is partnering with South Brett Street Community Watch and the City of Beacon Police Department to host a full day event and make it free to everyone.

BYS is calling for donations to make the day a success. Please contact Pam Seegler 845-838-9934 or Kathy Duertmann 845-797-5988 to see how you can help.
