Staff Sgt. George E. LaChance, age 30 was killed in action in France on August 28, 1944.  

Tragically, George lost his life the day after his brother, Ernest LaChance, was killed in action, also in France.

George was the son of Mrs. Alice C. LaChance, 159 Main Street, Beacon NY
