Frederick Brewer was killed in action
on March 13,1944 during a bombing raid
on Germany.  Sergeant Brewer was serving
as crew chief aboard a bomber operating
from England.  Frederick was the first member
of Beacon Engine Company killed in the war.
He was son of Mrs. Harriet A. Brewer, 83 Kent St.
