"I grew up with Joey in the late forties and fifties.
He was a tough kid and he and I had several fights before
we became friends. He was a good kid, a heller and fighter,
but a good kid. Joey went to St.John's Church in Beacon.
I just would like to see something written for Joey
as he surely deserves that, having fought and died for his
Country and being a Beacon native." Semper Fi! Paul W. Annetts
Joseph
Slinsky was a member of The Beacon Volunteer Ambulance Corps. He
always had a smile on his face, and was ready to answer a call at a
moments notice. Most of us, his fellow volunteers, could not equal
the energy he put into his duties. He will always be missed.
