John Jay Bennett
was a specialist 5th class, pay grade E5 in the regular US Army.
He served with the 1st Signal Brigade. He was 23 years old and married
when he died. He was born on May 4, 1946. His tour of duty in Vietnam began on
January 21, 1969. On March 2, 1970, in Duyen Duc, South Vietnam in a
non-hostile accident on the ground he died. His body was recovered. His
religion was Roman Catholic.  His name is on the Maya Lin wall Panel 13W Line 73.
